Psychonstructor Ali Delshad Tehrani
Psychonstructor is a scientific and analytical framework for understanding altered states of consciousness in the context of psychedelics—written not for users, but for clinicians, researchers, and professionals working with their psychological and cognitive consequences.
Rather than focusing on personal narratives or inspirational claims, the book centers on neurobiological mechanisms, phenomenology without mythology, clinical risk, failure modes, and ethical boundaries. Experiences such as ego dissolution, spiritual shifts, entity encounters, or perceptions of deceased figures are examined not as metaphysical revelations, but as neurocognitive phenomena grounded in predictive processing, salience, and memory reconstruction.
The aim of this work is to support evidence-based, clinically responsible, and legally grounded approaches to psychedelic research and therapy, while explicitly cautioning against oversimplification, romanticization, and uncritical adoption of experiential narratives.
